Reef Excursion Subsidy of $150 Per Student for Queensland Schools

In 2021, the Queensland Government announced the Great Barrier Reef Education Experience Program, which is a subsidy program for Queensland schools to take students on excursions or camps that explore the Great Barrier Reef. The program provides up to $150 per student to go towards travel, accommodation and experience expenses as part of the school excursion or camp. All Queensland primary and secondary schools are eligible to apply for the program. Applications for the education subsidy are now open to schools for excursions undertaken from Term 3, 2021 to June 2024.
